Hot-Shot is the 'REAL DEAL", not only was he a fantastic show dog, but also a superb stud dog ( giving his genes and qualities to many show kennels in the breed). We were blessed to be owned by the most charming dog we have ever met. Hot Shot's show career and time as a Top producer, were cut way too short, due to family illness and then mico plasma that Hot Shot contracted from a bitch in to be bred..which rendered him sterile.

Hot Shot was shown for only 2 1/2 years, after havanese were recognized by the American Kennel Club and allowed to be shown in regular classes and not misc. classes. He was NO#1 HAVANESE IN THE NATION FOR TWO YEARS RUNNING and still NO#1 HALF WAY THROUGH HIS THIRD YEAR when Mr. Tapscott's heart attack put the skids on his show career and HotShot was not shown again.

There will be many other havanese to win B.I.S.'s in the years to come, but his record of being THE FIRST , will remain in the record making history books forever.

He looks at you so intensely, you can almost see his soul. His eyes are probably our favorite part of this unique dog . . . .they're soft, warm, loving, and extremely intelligent.

An every night occurence in our home is for Hot Shot to move either a large toy or a pillow in front of the TV. He then lays down with his head on the pillow or toy and proceeds to watch TV with us. We oftentimes have to move his pillow back as he's so close to the TV that we fear he'll injure his beautiful eyes.

Hot Shot was our very FIRST Havanese and has proven to us that Havanese are like potato chips . . . . you cannot have just one!.
